Tops, tees and lightweight shawls

Tops, tees and lightweight shawls

The moment I've been waiting for all winter, the temperatures have finally tee shirt wearing warmth! I know some knitters only knit when it is cold outside, I call them seasonal knitters. Some of us are so thoroughly addicted that we knit all year round. While I am currently trying to finish off a worsted weight wool sweater, my project choices will soon switch to things that are small, lightweight, things I won't mind having on my lap in the warm temps! I have socks in mind, a shawl, and to finish off a tee that I started last year in a fingering weight cotton. The shawl in the picture is knit in a cotton/rayon blend called Summer Tweed, the pattern is Lightweight Hipster by Joji Locatelli. I just love self striping yarns, they add more impact to a fairly simple design. A nice little something to throw over your shoulders when you are in an air conditioned space!
